Islamic unity is a source of life that will always keep the Muslims of the whole world alive. When a nation is deprived of the efforts and endeavours to establish Islamic unity, internal frictions immediately arise among its members and that nation begins to rot from within. The last periods of the Ottoman Empire are a clear and last example of this. Of course, like other nations, the decay of the Ottoman Empire was a fate. But this had its own reasons. If some rulers neglect 'i'lâ-yı kelimetullah' by living their miserable pleasures in palaces, and if this laxity of theirs spreads to the army, besides losing its place in the balance of world states, an eternal misery and endless internal struggles will continue. Yes, these internal frictions devoured one of the greatest states of the world, 'Devlet-i Âliyyeyi Osmaniye'.
Since the day we abandoned Islamic Unity, divisive factions have arisen among us, and all the factions and groups that exist today are nothing but the blossoming and developed forms of the negative seeds and hellish oleanders sown in those times. There is only one way out of this deadly situation, and that is to strive and wage jihad for the establishment of Islamic Unity. Jihad as we understand it (and by this I mean the understanding within the framework of the Qur'an and the Sunnah) is the sweetest goal and the highest ideal for which a believer can sacrifice his life.
Yes, jihad will continue until the Day of Judgement in order to illuminate all the dark spots on earth, to bring the light of the name of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) to the darkest places and to cover the world with the lights of the Qur'an. And the believers will always be aware of their responsibilities to fulfil the right of being 'ummah-i vasat' in the balance between states and nations.
The realisation of the Islamic Union will enable all Muslims to lead a prosperous and secure life in this world and will also be instrumental in their attainment of Paradise in the Hereafter. Its benefits for Muslims in the world have been explained in detail in the relevant chapters. When all these positive aspects are brought together and evaluated, it becomes clear that this union will be a source of life in the real sense.
