THE ISLAMIC UNION WILL LAST UNTIL THE DAY OF JUDGMENT

Like all the provisions of the Holy Qur'an, the provisions related to the Islamic Union will continue until the Day of Judgement.

If the provisions in the Qur'an have not been 'neshah' (abrogated or changed) by any verse or hadith, there is 'ijma' that those provisions will continue until the Day of Judgement. Islamic Unity is also a definite ruling that exists in many Qur'anic verses and hadiths, and there is no verse or hadith that abrogates this ruling. Therefore, its ruling on Islamic Unity is honourable and will continue until the Day of Resurrection.[1]

Divine judgements are not limited to time and space. Provided that they are not Mensuh, the judgements of all Divine laws will continue until the Day of Judgement. The ruling of Islamic Unity, which is one of the Ahkâm-ı İlâhiyya, has come from eternity and will go to eternity, since it is not mensuh. Allah Almighty clearly expresses with the following verse that the Ahkâm-ı İlahiyye will never change and that they address all times and are sufficient for the needs of all times:

"O Prophet! The Qur'an, which is the Word of your Lord, is complete in that it is true in its promise and just in its judgement. It is never incomplete. For there is no falsehood in His reports and no cruelty in His judgements. His news about the past nations and the events that will occur until the Day of Resurrection is in accordance with the reality, there is no hulf. All His judgements, such as commandments and prohibitions, lawful and unlawful, are in accordance with justice. There is no one who can change or falsify the words of your Lord and change His judgements until the Day of Resurrection. With your sending as a prophet, the commandment of prophethood and messengership was completed and the door of revelation was closed. Therefore, You have become the Khatami of the Anbiya and the Sayyid of the Prophets. Allaah hears the words of His servants and knows their deeds."[2]

Bediuzzaman Said Nursî, one of the commentators of our century, says in the commentary of this verse: 'Yes, the principles and laws of the Qur'an are from eternity and will go to eternity. It is not old and doomed to death like the laws of civilisation. Always young, always strong.'[3]

'Shari'ah-i-Garra; since it comes from Kelâm-i-Ezelî, it will go to eternity.'[4]

'As long as vice exists in the world, it is necessary for virtue to wage jihad against it. Surely jihad is eternal.'[5]

The above âyat-i-kerîma declares that the provisions of the Islamic Law will continue until the Day of Resurrection, provided that they are not proscribed; and it expresses that the provision of Islamic Unity will continue until the Day of Resurrection since it is not proscribed.

The following verse also commands the believers to fight against the disbelievers until the shirk and oppression, which are called "fitna", are completely eliminated and Islam, the true religion, dominates the earth.

"And with them  (with the enemies of Islam) until there is no more fitna, (that is, until disbelief and polytheism disappear from the earth, or until the believers are liberated from the insult and humiliation of the disbelievers and become victorious and glorious) and strive in jihad until the religion is wholly for Allah  (until the false religions disappear and their followers are defeated and destroyed) ![6]

'Of course, the right will continue its journey on the path of the Truth. Of course, falsehood will try to block the path of the Truth and prevent it from travelling. Both movements are quite normal... And of course, the religion of Allah will try to free the servants on earth from being servants to the servants and to give them their true freedom by making them servants only to Allah... Of course, while he continues on his way, idols and devils will stand in his way. In fact, it will be absolutely necessary for him to block the path of idols and devils. In addition to this, the religion of Allah will certainly take action for the realisation of the true freedom of the people on earth. This is why it is imperative that the Truth should advance with determination on the path of the Truth and not stop for a moment to give way to the falsehood... As long as there is disbelief on earth, as long as there is falsehood on earth, as long as there is servitude to other than Allah (swt), which tramples on the honour and dignity of human beings on earth, the effort for the establishment of Islamic Unity will continue...

The promise made to Allaah is a compulsory obligation that every believer undertakes... Otherwise one cannot speak of faith... "Whoever dies without fighting, without preparing himself for war, dies in a branch of hypocrisy."[7]

The aim and objectives of Islamic Unity require its eternity. Allah Almighty has enjoined to work and endeavour to bring people to the light and to protect and safeguard Muslims from falling into mischief in their religion, from the permissibility of haram and from the invasion of their lands. These objectives of Islamic Unity necessitate the continuation and eternity of the endeavour for Islamic Unity as long as the world and its inhabitants endure.

The will of Allah (swt) and the secret of the test necessitates that both Muslims and disbelievers exist together on the earth, and that falsehood exists in opposition to the truth, and that these two groups clash and struggle with each other as long as life continues on the earth.

As long as there are Muslims and disbelievers on earth, there will always be conflict between the two communities. Because the nature of Islam and the nature of kufr are opposite to each other. Yes, Islam endeavours to free the servants from the bondage of worshipping others than Allah (swt) and to liberate them to worship Allah (swt) alone. Kufr, on the other hand, leads them from light to darkness, and leads them away from the worship of Allah, the only One, to many and various gods.
